REIKI is the name given to the ancient Indian healing method rediscovered by a monk, Dr.Mikao Chi.

Around the body, there are seven layers of energy field , which are known as Aura. In the innermost layer, known as inner Aura, are located seven major chakras. These chakras are energy centres. Each chakra is associated with an endocrine gland as well as governs the fuctioning of the endocrine glands and the organs associated with it.

The energy is not the practitioners energy but cosmic energy that flows through the hands is required to cure as well as not what the therapist decides is necessary.
